La Sala Banus Re-Launch

Last night (5th December) saw the much anticipated grand re-opening party for La Sala in Puerto Banus. Having already built up a reputation over the last few years as being the undisputed number one bar and restaurant in Marbella, it was time for a face lift and slight revamp.

The main room looks trendy with a new look and feel. Lots of gold mirrors in the restaurant area give La Sala Banus a feeling of being more spacious and fresh. The old piano room, now called ‘Live Lounge’ has also undergone massive renovation and has lots more space with the addition of separate booths giving more exclusivity. It has lots more space, stunning decor and much better acoustics.

It really is going to be difficult deciding where to book your table from now on. Do you want to sit on the tasteful decking on the terrace, absorb the atmosphere of the main room or relish in the new look ‘Live Lounge’?

The re-launch party was a much needed relief after the previous few days of floods. Lots of guests took up the invitation to celebrate the new look La Sala Banus as both rooms filled up to capacity, as well as the terrace. There was musical entertainment in both rooms simultaneously, including the popular drummers kicking things off in the Live Lounge, followed by the fabulous Jackie Brown band (a regular feature at La Sala). In the main room was the timeless sound of the pop duo Masquerade (also a regular at La Sala).

Party goers from all over Marbella turned out to drink and dance the night away with free flowing Champagne, wine and beer. There was also a non-stop food train with amazing canapés from duck pancakes, to an incredible tapa of cottage pie. No expense was spared as La Sala Banus, they showed exactly how to wow their customers and leave them in no hesitation to return.

No opening is complete without a few Marbella faces and it was great to see Talk Radio Europe presenter Hannah Murray and producer Steph Miller mixing with ex-footballers and shareholders David Bentley and Stephen Carr. Guests also included the voice of Marbella, Zoe Hughes with her boyfriend Mark, (who won the couples version of Come Dine With Me Costa del Sol). Their on-screen cooking rivals Glenn and Henriette Ward were also in attendance as were Bliss Hair and Beauty’s Jules and Lance and personal trainers Audrey Spearing and Lisa Marie Robinson.

It was great to catch up with so many old friends and the new look La Sala Banus is guaranteed to be even more in demand than it was before, if that is possible!
