Lina is now one of the stars of the much talked about reality TV show Life on Marbs and you can find out a little more about her in the interview I did a couple of years ago.

1 – What brought you to Marbella in the first place?

I used to come here a lot on holidays around 10 years ago, the first time in Puerto Banus I thought – yes this could be my new playground, I then decided to take 6 months off work in the UK and see what happens, I never went back!

2 – How did you meet Wayne and become involved in Linekers?

It was actually Wayne’s partner Beaux who I met first, he offered me a job at that time for just Linekers and Portside, looking after the PR teams and general marketing, it grew from there to where it is today, 8 years later.

3 – What is your role at Linekers?

I am the group Marketing Director for all of the venues which include, Linekers, TIBU, Portside, The Lounge, Babilonia, Premier Lap-Dance Lounge, Rotana and Infuschia restaurant, so it is my job to ensure that all the venues are busy, pre-booking anybody that is coming to Marbella for a holiday and making sure they have the best time. We have a great management team as each venue has its own manager who I work closely with.

I also deal with all the websites for each venue and I am heavily involved with the general day to day running of all the businessĀ“s, plus booking and working with promoters for TIBU.

4 – What is your most memorable moment from working at Linekers Group?

The night that will stay with me was when Spain won the world cup, was something that I don’t think I will ever experience again, you couldn’t move inside or outside the bars with Spanish, English, Dutch, French you name it every nationality came to Linekers group to watch it. When Spain won it was the most amazing atmosphere I have ever been part of.

6 – What is your ambition for Linekers?

To continue to grow and be the best brand in Puerto Banus and the most recognised brand in Europe, not just for Linekers but for the rest of the group as TIBU now has a huge following and it is only 3 years old in Marbella.

7 – If you could choose anyone, who would you most like to walk into Linekers?

George Clooney – without a doubt.

This is difficult as we have had so many celebrities here, from soap stars, premiership footballers, reality stars, talk show hosts, one of the celebrities that made the biggest impact was Piers Morgan

9 – You live in Marbella but where do you like to go on holiday?

My family are in the UK, so any time off I have I always go back to England, plus I love the great British high street for shopping.

10 – You now write a column in a popular gossip mag in Marbella, how did this come about?

When I first started working in Puerto Banus before Linekers Group I worked on a magazine, the owners of that are the owners of HOT magazine, they approached me to write my own column which was a compliment and great fun to do.
