La Sala by The Sea
La Sala by the Sea is the new name for what was known as Sala Beach, and previous to that it was called Buddha Beach. It has quickly become one of the sought after beach clubs in Marbella (well between San Pedro de Alcantara and Puerto Banus to be precise). It has been renamed La Sala by the Sea so it fits in with the brand La Sala, a growing empire of bars and restaurants in the Marbella area.
As you enter La Sala by the Sea (or as you might still call it, Sala Beach), you are greeted by a view of the sea to the front and those white beds we so long for. There is a VIP area multiple bars and of course a great restaurant.
You can get beds on the actual beach itself or around the pool area where you can chill to the music playing in the background.
Sala Beach Marbella has a number of theme days including the hugely popular Love Juice, which is always a sell-out. There are also a number of concerts throughout the season as well as special themed nights.
By day you are very likely to bump into a celebrity or two from the cast of TOWIE to pop stars like Pixie Lott.
During the main season you are advised to book tables for lunch and to arrive in plenty of time if you want a sun bed, especially around the pool as these are very popular with sun worshipers.
Sala Beach opened its doors for the season on 1st May 2014 and having visited it already we can safely say that it is going to be a great year for La Sala by the Sea.
They have opened a new splash pool at the top section so sun bathers can cool if every now and again. The restaurant is once again serving incredible food, with an emphasis on Thai.
We have to say that it was one of the BEST Thai lunches we have experienced and the mixed Thai starter (for 2 people) was great value at just 25€.
