St Patricks Day Festival

As most of you know, Marbella residents never miss an opportunity to have a party. Well on Saturday and Sunday the 15 and 16 March, Marbella is once again embracing its much valued and much loved Irish community by throwing a weekend party especially for St Patrick’s Day.

The Marbella St Patrick’s Day Festival will take place on the terraces overlooking the Marbella Marina (Deportivo) and will of course be a massive celebration of everything green and Irish.

Last year the festival was a great success so it was an easy decision to throw another party for Marbella’s Irish contingent and residents / visitors that like to celebrate a truly Irish day.

Some of the things you can expect at the festival are Irish tapas, Gaelic football on the beach, GUINESS, dancing and singing.

Basically a typical weekend in Dublin brought to Marbella for everyone to enjoy.

I guess Marbella and Ireland have very much in common. The people are friendly, social and love to enjoy themselves, so it is no wonder that the St Patrick’s Day Festival is such a huge success.

So get your green hats and wigs on, your whistles at the ready, your singing voices and dancing feet primed and your sense of humour and fun ready to go.

The great thing about this festival is that it is not just a private business function, the Ayuntamiento of Marbella are involved and behind the festival. This just goes to show how much Marbella values the Irish residents and what they bring to the community.

FUN WARNING: Look out for Talk Radio Europe’s Hannah Murray and Selina McKenzie and the coasts best female vocalist Karen Danzig. If in doubt head to any Karaoke section, they are sure to be there!!
