The Occidental Hotel in Puerto Banus used to be the PYR and is now a part of the Barcelo group of hotels. This hotel has been operating for a number of years and proved to be a popular choice for guests that wanted to spend a lot of time in the port itself. Located in the heart of Puerto Banus it is within walking distance of the marina, the beaches and the many shops and boutiques the port is famous for and of course the nightlife.

The Hard Rock Hotel Group took over the old H10 Andalucia Plaza and totally reformed it, branding it as a Hard Rock and adding lots of new outdoor and indoor spaces. It was always a very popular hotel close to Puerto Banus and right next to the casino. It was always an adult only hotel and remains so under the new brand.

It is a great hotel in a good position directly opposite the port with lots of activities running throughout the summer within the hotel itself. It only opened as a Hard Rock during 2022 and it is now open all year round.

There are several places to eat and drink around the Hard Rock Hotel both inside and out. The sessions restaurant serves an eclectic mix of Spanish inspired dishes. There is a poolside bar called the Eden Bar Club and also a spectacular roof top bar called Sun Society. The all day lobby bar is called GMT+1 serving cocktails and light bites. There is also a magnificent Asian inspired restaurant called Nu Downtown.

This is set right on the beach in Puerto Banus within easy reach of the port and all of its facilities. This hotel has been refurbished recently and offers 3 outdoor pools and paddle tennis courts. If you want to be in Puerto Banus, but just away from the hustle and bustle, this is the hotel for you.

There is a promenade that runs to San Pedro in one direction and Marbella in the other, both about a 30 minute walk.

This is a great hotel for easy access to Puerto Banus while not staying in the heart of the lively resort. The local establishments that are connected to the hotel are once again allowed to open after a short closure notice that was served during 2023.

This hotel is located on the prestigious Marbella Golden Mile just a short distance to both central Marbella and Puerto Banus (walking distance to both in around 15 to 20 minutes). To be honest this is not the prettiest hotel but it is in a good central location and close to the five star Puente Romano Hotel where you will find some of Marbella’s best restaurants.

This is one of the most luxurious hotels in Marbella and has been for many years. As you head east away from central Marbella the area is known as East Marbella. Some of the most well known areas / resorts along this stretch of coastline are Los Monteros, Elviria and Cabopino.

Los Monteros is home to a well established 5 star hotel, Elviria also has some amazing hotels and the world famous Nikki Beach and Cabopino has a lovely marina.

This is quite a new hotel and is located in Las Chapas not far from the famous Nikki Beach Marbella. It is in the area known as East Marbella and is about a 15 minute drive to central Marbella and 20 minutes to Puerto Banus.

This is a beautiful hotel but not the right choice if you are planning on spending lots of nights out in Puerto Banus or centeal Marbella as a taxi will be in the region of €30 to 50 each way. If you plan on making Nikki Beach your holiday venue then it is ideal.

This hotel is located in an area called Elviria which is a resort on both sides of the main road. There are lots of restaurants and bars close by and it is the main hotel for Nikki Beach Marbella.

Also on the beach are some other great beach bars, many with live music. One of the most popular is The Beach House, which is directly on the beach.

The Don Carlos also has its own luxury beach club so staying here, you really are spoilt for choice.
