Nobu Restaurant Marbella
With the recent re-construction of San Pedro de Alcantara just outside of Puerto Banus and its sudden popularity, it is safe to say that central Marbella has suffered a little over the last few years due to people looking further afield for their entertainment.
Well that could all change again as it looks like Marbella is fighting back. There is a new Gourmet Food Market in the centre, a new beach club called Mahiki Beach Marbella opening in May and rumours of more beach clubs opening this year.
Most of the beach club action in Marbella over the years has happened either in Puerto Banus with Plaza Beach, Sala by the Sea and Ocean Club, or further up the coast in Elviria with Nikki Beach.
But there is even more good news for Marbella. We have just seen a press release which is confirming that the world renowned Nobu Restaurant is opening within the Puente Romano on the Marbella Golden Mile.
It will be located in the hugely popular Plaza Village, which is an area in the middle of the Puente Romano resort that has become a gastronomic heaven for lovers of fine dining. There is already a 2-star Michelin restaurant by Dani Garcia and a number of other amazing restaurants, so the addition of Nobu Marbella is music to our ears.
Nobu Marbella is all set to open in May of this year and they will be serving a number of their now famous signature dishes; Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail JalapeƱo and Tiradito. The cuisine at Nobu is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian, but alongside these will be some new creations based on more local cuisine and culture.
The Nobu Marbella restaurant will be the very first in Spain thanks to a brand new partnership between Nobu Hospitality and the Puente Romano.
On the terrace area adjacent to the restaurant patrons will be able to enjoy some of the famous Nobu cocktails while taking in the buzz and atmosphere of their fantastic setting.
Nobu Hotel Marbella
In 2018 Nobu plans to add to its restaurant at the Puente Romano with a special Nobu Hotel. The idea is to create a place of tranquillity combined with luxury and privacy. Guests of the new Nobu Hotel will of course get priority access to the restaurant, which is expected to have a waiting list for dining nearly as soon as it opens for business.
There will also be a 24hr special menu available for hotel guests from the Nobu Matsuhisa in-room dining menu.
This is very exciting news for Marbella and for the Puente Romano. We cannot wait to try the food and report back with a review.
