West End Comes To Marbs

The thing many of us love about Marbella is the diversity of the people that have decided to call Marbella their home. As well as local Spaniards, there are many people from all over Europe, and further afield.

That is what makes Marbella such a happy, interesting and cosmopolitan place to live.

One thing I do sometimes struggle with though is not being able to hop on a train to London’s West End to see a play or musical. We are lucky enough to have lots of shows and plays at the Salon Varietes in Fuengirola, and the standard is usually extremely high. In fact many of the cast members and directors are ex West End performers themselves.

However we are pleased to see that some of the West End’s top performers of recent years will be heading to Spain for shows at La Sala Banus and La Sala Gibraltar.

The West End Comes To Spain and Gibraltar

Coming to perform will be West End stars like Mike Sterling who had success in leading roles in Les Miserables, High Society, Oliver and Phantom of the Opera.

Joining him will be Jo Gibb best known for playing Rumpleteazer in Cats as well as starring in the stage version of Beauty and the Beast, the much loved Starlight Express and one of my personal favs, the Rocky Horror Show.

Michael Conway will also be here having cut his West End teeth in Fiddler on the Roof before touring in Flashdance. He also had a key role in the Jersey Boys where he played the character Joe Pesci.

If you are fan of West End musicals, or you want to experience the incredible music for the first time, you can see them at La Sala Banus on 23 March. Tickets are such great value at just 49.90€ each plus IVA, which includes a three-course meal as well as the show.

If you cannot make the show at La Sala Banus, you have another opportunity to see it on board the Sunborn floating hotel at La Sala Gibraltar on 25 March. Again tickets are amazing value at just £49.95, again including a three-course meal.

Fitting around the main performances at the La Sala locations the West End show will also head up the coast to the Tamisa Hotel on 22 March and Las Lagunas Theatre on 24 March

So if you miss a little bit of that London culture, why not book tickets for the show and enjoy an amazing musical experience.
