There are so many different occasions that can bring people together, most are joyous occasions but on the other side, there are some very sad occasions that do the same. As the saying goes, certain members of families only get together for weddings or funerals.
If you are heading to an event it is always good to turn up with a gift and greeting card representative of the occasion. In Spain, it can be difficult if you are going to an English speaking event and want a birthday card, or wedding card and you want the card in English. While some of the bigger stores have blank cards, finding one with nice words it not always easy.
Thankfully here on the Costa del Sol we have access to some English card shops. Iceland supermarkets generally have a small range of birthday cards and main events like weddings. In San Pedro, Marbella there is the English Card Shop which has a great choice of cards, balloons and gifts. Also not far CardLand has shops in Calahonda and Fuengirola where you can also get a good choice of cards and gifts for all occasions.
With the latter, CardLand, they also have an online shop so if you are not located within easy reach of the shops, you can browse online at their different ranges of gift cards and gifts and then order via their online gift card shop.
Most people these days have got used to using the likes of Moon Pig to purchase cards and even personalise them. Again CardLand’s online shop offers a similar personalisation service for cards.
Now there is no excuse for turning up empty handed at a celebration and blaming it on the fact that you could not find an English card shop!
