As many of you already know, Celebrities in Marbella is a website and social media channel that was set up by myself PJ Lopez and my wife Hannah Murray. This year we will be adding lots of additional information to the website and updating information already included so that it once again becomes your number one resource for everything Marbella, just as our sister website the San Pedro Guide and associated social media channels is for all things San Pedro
Now we have updated you on the plans for the site for 2025, we are also extremely pleased to announce that Hannah Murray will be taking part on an epic journey from the east coast of India to the west.
About 6 months ago Hannah was contacted by her friend Emma Sayle about her plans to organise an incredible journey across India to be undertaken by over 50 of the UK’s leading founders, business women and entrepreneurs in order to raise awareness and much needs funds for women’s charities in India.
Emma Sayle is a well known voice for women in both the business world and across social media. She was the founder of the global female empowerment brand Killing Kittens, and behind the group called The Sisterhood who help give women a voice around the world. Alongside Emma in organising the LET’S GOA Sisterhood Rickshaw Rally is Francesca James, founder of Ideas Forums (which runs the Great British Entrepreneur Awards & Ideas Fest).
The Journey
The actual journey commences on 5 March 2025 starting in Chennai and finishing some 1000 kms later in Goa on 11 March 2025. They will travel through some incredible places along the way including Vellore, Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, and Bhaktal.
What is the aim of the Sisterhood Rickshaw rally?
The aim is to raise over £350,000 to directly support charities dedicated to providing education and opportunities for girls who need it most in India. Having teamed up with Ladies Circle India and Round Table India they want to help girls break free from a cycle of poverty and give them the opportunity of education that they might otherwise not have had.
What is the Sisterhood?
Since launching in 2006 to dragon boat across the English Channel in August 2007 (setting a World Record), The Sisterhood has clocked up an incredible number of challenges – the Amazon raft race, Marathon de Sables, Bosphorus swim, Costa Rico Coast to Coast race, Kilamanjaro, Venice Vogalonga, The LA to Vegas Speed Project, all women crew at Cowes, Chennai Rickshaw run .. the list goes on.
All in aid of various women and children’s charities. To date they have raised over £1,000,000 and achieved many column inches of international and national media with absolutely no sign of slowing down yet with this being their biggest group to date with 60 female founders racing 1,000km from Chennai to Goa in March 2025
Who is Marbella’s Hannah Murray?
Hannah Murray, as well as being co-founder of this website, the popular San Pedro Guide and one half of the Marbella podcast Marbella with Him & Her, most people will know her as a longtime presenter on Talk Radio Europe. Having hosted the breakfast show for many years, Hannah is back in her afternoon slot where she has the pleasure of interviewing interesting people from all over the world. As well as many film stars, TV celebrities, musicians and authors, Hannah has also spoken with some of the most incredible people that have a story to tell.
Hannah is now also a regular contributor to Spain’s very first English language breakfast TV chat show to be aired on regional Spanish TV, launched by the talented Nicole King and simply called ‘Good Morning Spain’.
“I am thrilled, excited and a little nervous to be part of this incredible charity event. I have backpacked in my late teens / early 20’s but this is going to be a totally different type of challenge. It is also an honour to be doing this with so many spacial women who have made things happen in the business and media world. I will have one of my best friends Nikki Brougham by my side (literally) throughout the journey and will be documenting our progress on Instagram via @radiohannah”
The whole thing is about charity so if you have anything spare to donate you can do so via the following link
