One year on and Ruth Lorenzo was invited back to Marbella by Dream Ticket Promotions to appear in another concert. Her appearance in 2010 at the Bjorn Again concert in the Marbella Bull Ring was so well received that it was never in doubt that she would be asked back again for 2011.
As the crowds started to fill the Playa del Pinillo stadium next to the beach on the outskirts of central Marbella, Ruth Lorenzo took to the stage to rapturous applause and quickly whipped them up into a frenzy with the audience standing up and dancing to every tune.
Ruth was totally in her comfort zone singing a number of rock tunes and of course ending with her version of Purple Rain that we all got to know thanks to X Factor. The audience were also treated to an amazing Spanish number dedicated to her mother who was watching from the crowd.
Being from Murcia, Ruth was not stranger to Marbella and the crowd absolutely loved her.
I was proud to be asked to take photo’s of Ruth’s gig in Marbella and was right by the stage with a perfect view.
After her performance Ruth did a ‘meet and greet’ with members of the local Marbella media. She was thoroughly professional and just so nice. She posed for photo after photo and always had a beaming smile on her face.
